ans: a) The adjacent book referred to is at the left of the middle magazine.

>because image the first book's cost start fro Rs.2.
>The the cost of the 51st book will be 51*2=102Rs.
>The the middle magazine will be (51+1)/2=26st book(since its odd no. of books)
> hence cost of the 26st book = 26*2 = 52Rs.
> Therefore if we take left magazine as the adjacent book. Then the cost of 25th magazine is 50Rs.
>adding both magazines cost(i.e 25th & 26th)= 50 + 52 = 102(cost of last magazine)
