Work done by pipe without leak in 1hr = 1/6
Work done by pipe with leak in 1hr = 2/13
So, work done by only leak in 1hr = 1/6 - 2/13= 1/78
So, leak will empty the tank in = 78hrs

since, work done by pipe without leak in 1 hr=1/6
and work done by pipe with leak=1/6.5=2/13
so, work done by only leak in 1 hr=1/6-2/13=1/78
so, leak will empty the tank in 78 hr.

work done by 1st pipe in 1hr 16due to leak it takes 30 mins extra so it means 65 hrs the pipe leaks at a rate of 1x per hourthen 16-1x1651x165-16x78

In 1 hr the pipefillss 16 of the tankWith leakage it can fill in 1 hr 213So in1 hr leakage is 16 -213178So the total can be leaked out in 78 hes

a78 hrsLet the capacity of tank be 100 ltsIt takes 6hrs to fill the whole tank without leakageso 6 hrs------100lts 1 hr-------1006 ltsconsidering leakage 612 hrs 132 hrs -----100lts 1 lt---------213100 20013 ltssubtracting both we get the rate of leakagehour 1006 -20013 10078 ltshr10078 lts is leaked in 1 hour so 100 lts the assumed capacity of tank will be emptied in7810010078hrs

16.66% filling rate 15.38% filling rate after leak
thus leak rate is 1.28%

FILL >> 6 HRS >> 16.66% IN EACH HR (100/6)
LEAK >> 13/2 [(6+(1/2))] HR >> 100/(13/2) = 15.38%IN EACH HR (100/6.5)
FILL RATE=16.66-15.38=1.28% IN EACH HR
100/1.28=78.285 HR
