let total candidates be 100
congress candidates = 60
bjp candidates =40
congress fighting candidates = 45
bjp fighting candidates = 8
total fighting candidates = 53

3/4 of 3x/5=9x/20
Bjp=40/100*x=2x/5
1/5 of 2x/5=2x/25
Adding both
9x/20+2x/25=53x/100

lets take 100, 60 from congress,40 BJP
3/4 of 60 is 45,
1/5 of 40 is 8,
total is 45+8=53

let total registered congress candidates are = 34 * 60100 =920
& total registered bjp candidates = 15*40100 = 225
now adding this we get 53100
therefore total percentage of people fighting elections are ,
53100 * 100
=53%

so 60%(100)=60 candidates are registered for congress and
40%(100)=40 candidates are registered for BJP
given that 3/4th(60) fight for election and 1/5th(40) fight for BJP
and therfore 3/4*60+1/5*40=53
Ans is: 53

Bjp=40/100*x=2x/5
1/5 of 2x/5=2x/25

9x/20+2x/25=53x/100

then congress=60%=60
bjp=40%=40

no of candidates fighting the election=0.75*60+0.2*40=53
so required %= 53%

Since 3/4 of registered Cong candidate equals 45 and 1/5 of BJP candidate registered equals 8 assuming no. of candidates to be 100 . Therefore 45 + 8 = 53 .

Lets consider there are 100 registered candidates for election
60 candidates are from congress and 40 from BJP
3/4(60)= 45 candidates are fighting from congress
1/5(40)= 8 candidates are fighting from BJP
So total candidates who are fighting for elecctions from congress and bjp are 45+8=53
% of candidates fighting for elections are 53 out of total 100 candidates
so Its 53%
