Solution : Average = D/M. Three absent New average = D/M-3
Increase = New average - Average = D/M-3 - D/M

Therefore, D+(3D/M-3) should be the answer.

lets assume there are 7 persons going for a party and they each share is 100.
then total amount = 7*100 = 700
if 3 members were absent then there will be 4 persons.
then 700 mus be shared by 4 persons
i.e 700/4 = 175.
therefore the individual share is increased by 75% (i.e 175-100 = 75) :-)
