the roman representation of 12 is XII. Now divide this by half from between by drawing a line. You get two roman digit 7. Hence, proved.

half of 12 is 6
now we have to be proven 7 = 6
let assume x = y ...........(1)
we can multiplied x and y with 7
so, 7x = 7y ......................(2)
we can add 6x and 6y at both of the side because x = y so 6x = 6y
7x + 6y = 7y + 6 x ............(3)
then
7x - 7y = 6x - 6y .................(4)
7( x - y ) = 6 ( x - y )..............(5)
by cancel the ( x - y ) from both of the side
7 = 6 (hence proved)

The 12 have 2+2+2+2+2+2
split the 4th 2 as 1+1
then 2+2+2+1 1+2+2
we get the answer

XII = 12 and VII= 7 and if you like take the x divided by 2 it is a v so you end up with VII which is 7
