The two numbers are let 8x and 9x
The equation now in the given condition
8x-12/9x-19=5/9
Solving, x=13/27
The larger No.=13/27*9=13/3

2nos are 8x and 9x

Smaller of two num is 8x is increased by 12 gives 8x+12

Larger of two num is reduced by 19 gives 9x-19

8x+12/ 9x-19 = 5/9(given ratio)

Cross multiply , u ll get x= 203/27

Substitute x in larger num 9x = 9(203/27)
= 67.6
