ans=12*200=2400

let the price of saree and shirt are x and y respectively.
On this basis 2x+4y=1600 and 1x+6y=1600
on solving y=200, x=400 so cost of 12 shirts = 12*400 = 4800

2 saree + 4 shirts= 1600---eq 1
1 saree + 6 shirts = 1600 ---> eq 2
on equating eq2--> 1 saree= 1600- 6 shirts -- say eq3
On substituting eq3 in eq1
2(1600- 6 shirt) +4 shirt= 1600
=> 3200 - 12shirts +4 shirts= 1600
=> 8 shirts= 3200-1600
Therefore, 1 shirt= 200
so, 12 shirts= 200x12= 2400
