suppose bob father age is =x
and bob age is =x/3
after 12 yr bob father age is (x+12)
after 12 yr bob age is (x/3+12)
A/C question equation is: (x+12)/2= (x/3+12)
3x+36=2x+72
x=36
hence after 12 yr father age is: 36 yr
and after 12 yr bob age is:36/3=12 yr........ans
