draw 3 circles and draw a circle circumscribing it..Now draw a triangle with centres of 3 circles..

it is an equilateral triangle with side=2..

now the centroid of triangle is the centre of req circle...
let G be the centroid..

distance of small circle to centroid of triangle is given by cos30=2/root(3)..

therefore radius of circle R =1 + 2/root(3)..
area = pi*R^2= pi*(7+4*root(3))/3
