30% discount on 100 is 30
(100-30)=70
20%discount on the 70 is 14
(70-14)=56
10%discount on the 56 is 5.6
so the answer is 30+14+5.6=49.6

we can solve it as in logical concept
that is
(30% of 100)+20% of (30% of 100)+10% of (20% of(30% of 100)
so
30+14+5.6+49.6

Let us assume the amount to be Rs.100
30% discount of 100 is 70.
20% discount of 70 is 56.
10% discount of 56 is 50.4.

x% discount of 100 is 50.4
Therefore, x = 49.6%

Let us take initial amount as 100/-
30% of 100 is (30/100)*100=30, so discount means subtract 30 from 100, it will give 70
ANSWER: (A) 49.6%
EXPLANATION:
20% of 70 is (20/100)*70=14, subtract it from 70, it will give 56
10% of 56 is 5.6, subtract it from 56, it will give 50.4%
Finally, subtract 50.4% from original amount, it will give 49.6%
