(Anil+Amit)'s one day work is 1/12
They worked for 4 days and hence they must have completed 4*1/12=1/3 work
The remaining work has to be completed by ANIL=1-1/3=2/3 work
Now, ANIL's one day work =1/12-1/16=1/48
He can complete the work in 48 days
For one work, Anil can complete in 48 days
For2/3 work, Anil can complete in 48*2/3=32 days(option C)

Anil alone can complete the work in 1/12-1/16=1/48
worked for 4 days=4/48+4/16=16/48=1/3
remaining work=2/3
Anil will have to work for 32 days
32/48=2/3
