A can do in 1/16
B can do in 1/12

A+B=1/16+1/12
3+4/48
7/48
now A+B can do the work in 48/7 days or we can say approx. 7days

A's 1 day work=100/16=6.25%
B's 1 day work=100/12=8.33%
(A+B)'s 1 day work=(6.25+8.33)%
=14.58%
after 6 days it will be=14.58*6=87.48%, means alternate work for 12 days(1st day work of A and 2nd work of B=(A+B)'s 1 day work)
after 12 days work left=12.52%
in 13th day A's work=6.25%
12.52%-6.25%=6.27% left
in 14th day B will complete the work

A+B=1/16+1/12
3+4/48
7/48(A and B n 2 days)
(A+B) 2 dAYS*6=(7/48)*6
=42/48
Remaining=1-(42/48)
=1/8(this is A 'S turn)
ans:12 1/2 days (totally)

In one day, A's work=1/16
" " ", B's work=1/12
A's and B's total work in 1 day=1/16 + 1/12 =7/48.
But they work on alternate days..So 7/48 amount of work is completed by A and B alternatively in 2 days.
Therefore,Total work will be completed by A and B in 2*(48/7)=14 days(approx.).
