solving these, F =32, S=8
After further 8 yrs,
F= 32+8+8=48
S=8+8+8=24 yrs

so 2 times.

Let x be the age of son and y be age of father.
y=3x.........(1)
y+8=2.5(x+8)............(2)
Substituting from equation (1) in equation (2), we get,
3x+8=2.5x+20 =>0.5x=12 =>x=24
y=72
After 16 years, x=40 and y=88. So, the required answer is 2(1/5).

Given F=3S+S=4S ----(1)
F+8=5/2(S+8)----(2)
By Substituting F=4S in (2) We get S=8
Therefore F=32.
Since After 16 years,F=48,S=24
So Father's age after 16 years is 2 times of Son's age.

the answer would be B 2.(1/2)times because
we let son's age = x and father's age = 3x
3x+8=2.5(x+8)
3x+8=2.5x+20
x=24 so son's age =32 and Father's age = 80 which is 2.5 times

F is the Fathers age, S is the Sons age
Father is aged three times more than his son Suresh means F= 3S --- 1
After 8 years, he would be two and a half times of Suresh's age Means F+8 = (5/2)(S+8) ...Solving equation 1 and 2 , S=16 and F=48

After further 8 years means total after 16 years S=32 (16+16) and F=64 (48+16)
