25 years.

At the time of death of his wife, his age was 30+25 = 55 years.
He died at the age of 80,
so he lived as widower for 80-55=25 years.

Ans. He was a widower for 25 years

Man was 5 years older than the woman. When she died at the age of 50, he was 55 years. Then he became widower till he died. If he died at the age of 80 then he was widower for (80-55) years i.e 25 years. His life as widower is not affected by his crying or stop crying.
