present ages of father and son be 4s,s
s+30=(4s+30)/2
=>s=15
present age of son, s=15 and present age of father, 4s=60.

Ans. Father = 60 years and son = 15 years

Let father's present age is 4x then sons age is x.
After 30years age of father will be 4x+30 and sons age will be x+30.
As per the given condition x+30 = (1/2)*(4x+30) => x+30=2x+15 => x = 15
So sons present age is 15 years and that of father is 4*15 = 60 years.

let x be the father's age and y be the son's age
x/2=y
(x-30)=4(y-30)
2y-30=4y-120
120-30=4y-2y
2y=90
y=45 so,x=90
before 30 years, y=15 x=60
