If A runs in clockwise direction.
They meet for the first time at a distance of 900 m in clockwise direction from P and for the second time at a distance of 800 m in anticlockwise direction from P. If B is yet to complete one round,
then distance travelled by B during the time both together completed two rounds = 800 m
distance travelled by B during the time both together completed one round = 800/2 = 400 m
distance travelled by A during the time both together completed one round = 900 m

so total circumference = 900+400=1300 m

because even after their second meet B did not complete a single round.
i.e B still needs to travel 800 meters to make a complete round after second meet.
i.e. 900+some unknown distance+800

Let x be circumference
A:900m B: x-900m
Again
A: 2x-1700 B: 1700-x

So,
900/x-900 = 2x-1700/1700-x

1530000 - 900x =2x^2 - 1700x - 1800x + 1530000
2x^2 -2600x = 0
x = 1300m

Lets say the total perimeter is x.

When the first meeting happened A travelled 900m.

so b must have travelled x-900m.

while 2nd meeting happened A and B must have travelled same distance.

No when the distance given is 800 from anticlockwise=>which is the total distance travelled by B in two laps.

so total distance travelled by B is

2(x-900)=800

=>x=1300m

Answer will be 1300 m if
A runs in clockwise direction ..( pls check )
and
hence meets after covering distance of 900 m in clockwise direction from P ( as per given condition) .
Otherwise none of these options is correct.

If total circumference is 1700 m, then it means that both times A and B meet at same point.

from qtn we can draw a conclusion that A is faster than B. By trail and error let circumference of circle is 1300 m .let A took 1 hr to make 900 m in clockwise direction and left with some distance that is the traveled distance of B(1300-900=400 m).In another 1 hr(2hr) B makes his 400 m now total traveled distance of B is 800 m in anti-clockwise direction which satisfies our condition at that time A had completed his first round and traveled 500 m from his starting point in clockwise direction(900+400= one complete revolution and 400+500=900 in 2 hr).
