Present Ration of MIlK TO WATER IS 95:5
Amount of Milk is 10 litres
Hence, Pure milk content is 9.5 litre
and water content is 0.5 litres
Now, we should not disturb the water content
So, 0.5 litres of water is equivalent to 2%
So 100% mixture is :(0.5/2)*100=25litre
Thus, milk should be added=25-10=15 litres of pure milk

Since 95% is milk in mixture.

So 95% of 10 + X = 98% of (10 + X)

9.5 + X = 9.8 + 0.98X

So X = 15 liters

quantity of milk = 95%10=9.5 ltr
we want reduce water upto 2 %
so pure milk let x to be added
so
98 % (10 + x)=95 % 0.5 + x
x=15 ltr must be added

BASIC STEP IS - 2%(10+x)= 0.5
(0.5litres will be 2% of the resulting solution after adding xl to 10 litres)
x=15litres on solving the equation.

this can also be solved using the formula
{ INTIAL TOTAL QUANTITY [INTIAL CONCENTRATION-FINAL CONCENTRATION] } /FINAL CONCENTRATION

THEREFORE BY SUBTUTING THE VALUES
10(5-2)/2=15

i think answer sould be 15 litre.
because as we know that, in 10 litre mixture, there is 5% water so it means in 10 litre mixture 0.5 litre is water.
now if we added 15 litre pure milk in mixture so, total mixture is 25 litre & in this 25 litre water is fix as 0.5 litre.
therefore,in 25 litre mixture 2%water sould be there as fulfill condition.

There is decrement of 2% i.e. 1/2
So there will be increment of 3/2.
Therefore, 3/2*10=15l.
Thus 15l milk should be added.
