Suppose distance between X and Y is xkm
Time taken by A to cover xKm is=2.30hours=5/2 hours
Time taken by B to cover xkm is=2hours

Speed of the train A=2x/5 kmph
speed of train B=x/2 kmph
Distance covered by train A in 15 mins = 2x/20 = x/10 kms
suppose two trains meet after t hrs from 12.15 pm, then
x= x/10 + 2xt/5 + xt/2
1= 1/10 +2t/5 +t/2
9/10 = 9t/10

t= 1 hr

so trains will meet at 1:15 Pm.

from given qn speed of A/ speed of B=4/5
so,let us take speed of A=4 km/hr speed of B=5 km/hr
then d=10km(5*2) for train b
so at 1:15 A will cover 5km and B will cover 5 km so they meet at 1:15

Suppose distance between X and Y is xkm
Time taken by A to cover xKm is=2.30hours=5/2 hours
Time taken by B to cover xkm is=2hours
let the trains y hours after 12.00pm
Speed of the train A=2x/5kmph
speed of train B=2x kmph
2xy/5+xy=x
solving this we get
y=300/7 minutes~43
So the trains cross each other at 12.43 pm

Assuming that speeds of both trains A and B are the same,
A leaves 15 minutes early than B and reaches its destination 15 minutes late.
So, if the speeds are equal, both trains would meet at half the time it takes for either of them to complete the journey
So, time = (2.5/2) = 1 hours 15 min after 12 or time = 2/2 = 1 hour after 12:15
In both cases, the trains will meet when time is 1:15
