72 minutes totally spent on type A problems.

Let X = Time taken for each of Type B Problems(150 Problems)
And 2X = Time taken for each of Type A problems(50 problems)

Total time period = 3hrs = 3*60min = 180minutes

150X + 50(2X) = 180
150X + 100X = 180
250X = 180min

X = 180/250
X = 0.72min

By convertiing into seconds,

X = 0.72*60seconds
X = 43.2sec

So, time taken for Part A problems is = 43.2*2*50 = 4320 seconds
= 4320/60sec = 72minutes

total time=3hrs=180min
150x+50*2x=180
x=180/250
x=0.72
time taken for type A problem=50*2*0.72=72min
