5^5 = 3125

since we have 5 digits(assume no repeatation) .Therefore possibilities are:

5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 120

there are 5 numbers..and 5 places(digits)
so with repition=5^5=3025
with out repition=5!=120

with repetition=5^5
In this case each place has 5 choices,like that we have 5 places so total is 5*5*5*5*5=5^5
with out repetition=5!=120
In this case among 5 places, the first place has 5 choices to fill,second place has 4,3rd has 3,4th has 2 and last place has only one choice,so total numbers formed are 5*4*3*2*1=5!=120
