Q. There is ten box having 10 balls in each of 10 gm of weight but however it come to know that one box among them has defective balls, all the ten balls are either 9 gm or 11 gm how to find that box. You can use digital balance and only taking one reading from it.

Answer :
Step 1: take 1 ball from fist box, 2 balls from 2 nd box , 3 from 3 rd........... 10 balls from 10 th box.
Step 2: put all (1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10) balls on the balance .
Step 3: This should weight 550 gm. bzc (55*10=550).but one box has defective balls and will cause to make change in 550 gm. if there is change of 1 gm either less or more than 550 gm means ball from 1st box is responsible for this change . if 2 gm difference is there then box from which 2 balls were taken is responsible. and so on
What is the sum of digits of Number obtain (10^3)^8-8.

- place on of the boxes on the balance,take a ball from the other box and put it in the box on the balance,if the reading increases by 9 or 11 the other box is defective if the reading increases by 10 then the box on the balance is defective
