If A and B, 20 kms apart starts travelling towards each other at the speed of 5 and 10 Kms/hour.How far they are apart(in kms) one minute before they meet ?
Read Solution (Total 5)
-
- Relative speed = 5+10 = 15 kmph = 15*5/18 = 25/6 m/sec
In 1 minute, they will cover 60*25/6 = 250 m.
so they are 0.25 kms (250 mtrs) apart one minute before they meet. - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(1)
- Relative speed = 5+10 = 15 kmph = 15/60 km per minute = 0.25 km/min
so they are 0.25 kms (250 mtrs) apart one minute before they meet. - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(0)
- they will meet in T=20/(5+10)=1.33HRS=80MIN
IN 79 MIN,A TRAVELS =79/60*5=6.58KM
B TRAVELS =79/60*10=13.16KM
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEM=20-(13.16+6.58)=0.25KM

- @ Phani,
Pls check.
