If you read the table of 15 it is 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90. 75-66=9 and 90-66=24, since 9 is indivisible by two the number is 90. 90/15=6, 6x8=48 and 6x7=42, so the ratio of their ages is 48/42=8/7 which will take place 12 years.

  6x+5x=66--->x=6
  then 6x/5x=6/5--->36/30=6/5
  likewise (6x+y)/(5x+y)=8/7
  (36+y)/(30+y)=8/7
  (36+y)*7=8*(30+y)
  252+7y=240+8y
  252-240=8y-7y
  12=y
  therefore y=12 years...its just simple arithmetic method ..don't be confused
