- Ans: -27 It is an Alternative series.
1+4=5
5+4=9
9+4=13
13+4=17
3-2 =1
1-4 =-3
-3-8=-11
-11-16=-27 - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(26) No(0)
- here there r 2 series first 1,5,,9,13,17.....
nd second 3,1,-3,-11.....?
3-2=1
1-4=-3
-3-8=-11
now -11-16=-27

- SOLUTION IS -27.
consider alternate numbers in the above given sequence,the subtract the consecutive numbers from the selected alternative numbers..
so,
3-1=2
1-(-3)=4
-3-(-11)=8
we can suspect the diff would be 16,,
let the number to be find is x..
then,
-11-x=16
x=-27.

- -27.
there are two series
first-->
1+4=5,
5+4=9,
9+4=13,
13+4=17 and
second-->
3-2=1,
1-4=-4,
-3-8=-11,
-11-16=-27 thats it. - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)

- DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 1,5,9,13,17 IS 4 S0 NEXT NUMBER 21
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 3,1,-3,-11 IS 2^n SO NEXT NUMBER -27 - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
