A husband and wife have a combined age of 91.
The husband is now twice as old as his wife was when he was as old as she is now.
How old are they..?

x+y=91(given)
now let diff between their ages be x.that is x-y=k.
now when husband is y yaers old, his wife must be y-k years old
x=2(y-k)(given)
so 2y-x=2k. and x-y=k.eliminating k we get 4y=3x. but x+y=91, so solving these
two x=52 y=39.(ans)
