Q. Let x,y be two integers with x,y lying in closed interval [2,100].
Now prove that :
[x^{2^{n}} + y^{2^{n}}] is not a prime for some positive integer n.

- i think it can be prime
for ex if we take n=1
we get x^2 + y^2
taking x = 2 and y = 3 we get 13 which is prime - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(1)
- Man, the question is wrong. Its correct format would be x^(odd something) y^(odd something)is divisible by x+y which has a long and somewhat complicated proof by Fermat Little's theorem and binomial expansion combined. Its incorrect for ANY even power of x and y
