  x-3y=0
  aftr that 8 yrs later,x+8=5/2(y+8)
  calculating them we get x=72 and y=24 aftr 8 yrs x=80 and y=32

• In general by observing the question for 8 years the ratio is decreasing to 1/2 so after another 8 years it will decrease to 1/1 so the answer is possible to be 2 but by solving in normal method the answer is 5/2.
