• in the given sequence first take the alternate numbers starting from 2 then we get 2,6,12,20,..........differences are 4,6,8... so every time there is an increase 2 from previous number to next number
  so numbers in the series alternatively 2,6,12,20,30,42 ....
  Now take the remaining terms in the sequence the remaining are
  4,8,12,16,....in this difference is always 4
