How much water must be added to 60 litres of mixture of milk? 1 ½ litres of milk for Rs. 20. So as to have a mixture worth Rs.10⅔ a litre ?

• 3/2 lit costs Rs 20. so 60 lit will cost Rs800.
  now , let say x lit of water will be added.....
  as the mix. worth Rs32/3 per lit.
  (60+x)32/3=800
  (60+x)32=2400
  60+x=75
  x=15
  so 15 lit water will be added.

  so 3/4 of 60 lit is 45 liters of water must be added

• 1 1/2 => 3/2
  3/2litres=Rs.20
  1litre=Rs.40/3
  
  10 2/3=> 32/3
  40/3 - 32/3 = 8/3
  40/3 per litre => Rs.1 per 3/40litre
  For Rs.8/3 = 8/3 X 3/40 = 0.2litres
  for 60litres 60X0.2=12litres of water should be added.

  cost of 1 litter is 40/3
  we have to make cost 32/3
  my the formula of mixture and alligation the ratio of milk and water should 4:1
  so 60/4=15

• CP of 1.5 L of milk= Rs 20
  CP of 60 L =800
  CP of water=0
  32/3=800+0/60+x where x is the liter of water added
  (60+x) * 32 = 3 * 800
  1920 + 32x =2400
  32x=480
  x=15 L
