  on rearranging (2) (x+y)/(xy)=(1/12)
  from(1)x+y=50
  therefore 60/(xy)=(1/12)
  on simplifying the above eqn (y^2)-50y+600=0
  on solving the above eqn the factors will be 20 and 30

  x-y=10
