Let F(m,n) =45*m+36*n,where m and n are integers (+ve or -ve) What is the minimum positive value for f(m,n) (This may be achived for various values of m and n)?
Read Solution (Total 10)

- 9
f(m,n)=9(5m+4n);
put m=1;n=-1

- ans.9 bcz f(m,n)=45*m+36*n
putting m=1,n=-1 in above eqn we get
f(m,n)=45*1+36*(-1)
=9. - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(8) No(1)
- ans is 0 take the lcm of 45 AND 36 which is 180 so,45*4-36*5=0
- 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(1)
- 45*m+36*n>0
9(5*m+4*n)>0
put m=1 and n=-1
f(m,n)=9 - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
- Ans is 9,as for m=1;n=-1
- 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- m = 1 and n = -1
so Min f(m,n) = 9 - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(0)
- m=1,n=-1

- as we are getting the sp as 125........so acc to question a profit is not been made.
but there is a loss as cp( cost price) is more.
so here we dont need to consider the ratios as it is given by weight only...
here the sp will be 390.......then there is a profit of 50 % acc to question. - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(1)
- 45(1)+36(-1)=9
ans is 9 - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- take any two values let m=1 and n=-1 then f(m,n)=9 and is the min value obtained
