There are 10 stepping stones numbered 1 to 10. a fly jumps from the first stone as follows:Every minute it jumps to the 4th stone from where it started-i.e from 1st it would go to 5th and from 5th it would go to 9th and from 9th it would go to 3rd etc. Where would the fly be at 60th minute if it starts at 1

  3rd min=3rd stone
  4th min=7th stone
  5th min=1st stone
  therefore at every minute which is a multiple of 5, the fly would be at 1st stone

  60*4=240
  i.e 24 rounds, as fly starts from 1, 240+1=241
  hence at 25th round at 1st stone

• it is the 60th term of the series 1,5,0,3,... now the 60th term of the AP series 1,5,9,... is 237. 237/10 gives 7 as remainder. so ans is 7

  let this be nos of stones, and fly starts from 1-->5,5-->9,9-->3,3-->7,and back to 1 at 7-->1 Which => it coming back to initial 1 at 5th circle => in 60 min---there will be 12th circle. => on 1st stone.

  a=5, d=4
  60th term = 5+(60-1)*4= 241
  therefore 1st stone
