- leap year=366 days
52 week=364 days
so 52 sundays are there
now from 366 days 2 days are left
ex...it can be combination of any two days
thats why probability is=2/7 - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(12) No(0)

- let us consider,
leap year=366 days. 52 weeks+2 days.
n(A)=Event having 53 sunday=Week contain 7 days,n(S)=7
combination having sunday={SM,MT,TW,WT,TF,FS,SS} i.e.n(A)=2
P(A)=n(A)/n(S)=2/7. - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(3) No(0)
- 2/7 bcz leap year contains 366 days i.e (52 weeks +2days) hence to have 53 sundays we have the probability (1/7+1/7=2/7)

- answer is 2/7.

- 52 week=364 days
52 sundays are there in 52 weeks
leap year has 366 days
366-364=2
so it shud be 2/7 is the answer
