sonia and rahul have to cross 125m road.sonia walks and rahul rides bicycle end the end of road and comes back to sonia. he completes two rounds in this way. After 2 rounds they walk together for 45 meters. If sonia walkswith the speed of 4m/sec what is the speed of rahul while riding bicycle?

• Distance covered by sonia in walking when rahul was riding on bicycle = 125-45 = 80 m
  waking speed of sonia is given i.e 4m/sec
  so, time taken by sonia to cover this 80 m is = 80/4=20 sec.
  Now,in this 20 seconds Rahul completed 2 rounds
  So,time taken by rahul to complete 1 round by bicycle = 20/2=10 sec
  Distance covered by rahul through riding is 80 m because after this he walked remaining 45 m together with sonia
  So, the speed while riding bicycle will be = Distance/time=80/10 = 8m/sec

  sonia will take 125/4 sec to cover 1 round 125 meter
  In same time rahul cover 2 round means 250 meter
  125/4=250/v
  v=8 m/s

  rahul 2 rounds distance=125+125+125+125=500mts
  from t=d/s
  t=500/8(also written as 250/4) or 500/14 or 500/20 or 500/10
  sonia 1st round=125+125mts
  t=250/4 so option a is right
