there was a fig of a equilateral triangle given /_ then from one of the sides being common one more eqi triangle with 2 more sticks is made and so on.... question was how many triangles can be made with 87 sticks given...

for the first triangle we need 3 sticks and for rest of the triangle we need 2 sticks....
so, 87-3 = 84 (sticks)

now resat of the triangle need 2 sticks 84/2 = 42

so totally 42 + 1 = 43 triangle
