- For this type of Questions, follow this:
At least- Ist half are true, Last half are false
Exactly- Last second one is true or (N-1)th Statement is true
Almost- All are true.
So correct answer is (C) - 14 years agoHelpfull: Yes(56) No(3)
- ans is c
In this type of questions remember 3 points
they specify Atleast--- true and false
They specify Atmost---- all are true
They specify exactly---- (n-1)statements are true. - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(13) No(3)
- In these type of problems :
'At least' : first half of the statements are true and rest are false.
'Exactly' :the second last statement is true rest are false.
'At most' : All statements are true.
so, Option C is the right answer. - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(8) No(0)
- But there are 40 statements on the paper.
I think first 20 twenty should be true. - 13 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(8)

- In case of atleast n statements,
If n statement is true, all the statement before n are definately true ,after that it may or may not be true.
for example,
1 - Atleast 1 statement is true.(True)
2 - Atleast 2 statements are true.(False) because only one stmt. is true.
3 - Atleast 3 statements are true.(false)
and so on..... - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(1) No(6)

- Thinking in simpler manner..
Given and of the statements are true..
usually and statement will will be second statements
So in all statements and statements are multiples of 2 which are even numbers. so answer is (A) - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(3)
- at least means proximately first half are ture so option c is correct

- c.
a , b & d contradict themselves ..... like , acc to (A.) 40th stmt is true...i.e. atleast 40 are false....which contradicts itself...
now (B.) it again says the same as (A.)
and (D.) ...it says 1st ,3rd,5th,....39th stmt are true and 2nd,4th,6th,...40th are false...i.e. 39th says , atleast 39 are false ..so for 39th stmt to be true...all except 39 must be false...which contradicts 1st,2nd,3rd,4th n so on.... - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- there are three condition to solve this type of question
1.AT-LEAST==First half will be true and second half will be false
{in this ques ans c is right bcoz first half is true and second false}
2.EXACTLY==(n-1) statement will be true {where n=no of statements} or second last statement will be true
3.AT-MOST==all statements are true

- atleast means 1st half will be true rest are false... so 20 statements are true other or false
- 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- can anyone plz explain it properly

- Assume there is only one statement is there. The statement should read "Exactly 1 statement on this sheet is false" . If the truth value of the statement is true, then given statement should be false. This is contradiction. If the statement is false, Then the given statement is true. but there is not other true statement.
Assume there are two statements. By the above logic, 2nd statement should not be true. But 1st statement is true as it truthfully says the truthfulness. By this logic we know that If there are "n" statements, (n-1)th statement is the only true statement And all other are false - 7 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
