24. A 31″ x 31″ square metal plate needs to be fixed by a carpenter on to a wooden board. The carpenter uses
nails all along the edges of the square such that there are 32 nails on each side of the square. Each nail is at the
same distance from the neighbouring nails. How many nails does the carpenter use?

- Here, It is given that the side of the square is of 31.
And each side has 32 nails.
For 32 nails to fit on 31 unit space ,the distance between each nail should be 1 unit.
so, If we apply the above concept.
The two opposite sides of square will contain 32 nails and rest two sides will contain 30 nails.
