i need help figuring this one out.. thanks
Write an equation of an ellipse with the given characteristics.
center(-1,5), vertex (3,5), co-vertex(-1,7)
thank you!
what am i doing wrong?
¼ = 3 - (2x-1)/(x+2)
¼ * 4(x+2) = 3 - {(2x-1)/(x+2)} *4(x+2)
x + 2 = 3 - (2x - 1)4
x + 2 = 3 - (8x - 4)
x + 2 = 7 - 8x
x + 2 - 2 = 7 - 2 - 8x
x +8x = 7 - 8x +8x
9x = 7
9x/9 = 7/9
x = 7/9
