There is a water container whose bottom portion is rectangular & upper portion is right angled triangular. The length, breadth & height of the triangle is 25 cm, 15 cm & 4 cm. The base of the triangle is common to the width of the rectangle. The length of the perpendicular side is 2 cm. Find the maximum volume of water which the container can hold.

- I think this question was asked in tcs on feb 20th.But you mentioned the upper portion is triangular but its not ...side portion is triangular..
its just mirror image for other side...just assume that we keep rectangle with size 25,15,2 in 45 degree and the place below it forms triangular with base 25 and height 2 and width of that triangular is 15
so answer is =volume of rectangular+volume of triangular
(25*15*2)+(1/2*25*2*15)=1125 - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(4) No(2)
- The area of triangular portion is = 1/2*15*4=30 , and area of rectangular portion = 15*2=30.
Since the area of top and bottom portion is same therefore .....
Volume = Area * height= 30*25= 750. - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
