13. The sum of weights of a mother, a daughter and a just born baby is 75, the weight of the mother is twice that of the other two put together, the weight of daughter is 4 times that of the baby. What is the weight of the daughter?

• Let the wght of jus born=x
  daughter=4x
  weght of mom=2(4x+x)=10x
  10x+4x+x=75
  15x=75
  x=5
  then the weight of d duaghter if 4x=4*5=20

  so according to the question
  M + D + B = 75
  M = 2*(D + B)
  D = 4*B
  so,
  M = 2*(4*B + B) = 10*B
  so,
  10*B + 4*B + B = 75
  so B = 5
  so D = 5*4 = 20
  so the daughter is 10 years old.
