- Let at first i have x number of marbles.
i lost half,
so now i have x/2 numbers of marbles.
now in the second round i won 11 times of which i lost,
so now i have x/2 + 11*x/2 number of marbles.
in the third round i won 9 more.
so at present i have x/2 + 11*x/2 + 9
which you equal to 21
solving this we get,
x = 2
so at first i had 2 numbers of marbles. - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(5) No(0)
- at 1st x
the after 1st round remains =x/2
won 11x/2
then total marbles after 2nd round will be=11x/2+x/2=6x
6x+9=21 or x=2 - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(0)
- let the answer be 2
then after 1st I lost half i.e. 1 marble left
in 2nd round i won 11 times i lost in 1st round i.e. 11 so total 12(11+1) after 2nd round
In 3rd round i won 9 more so now total will be (12+9) equals 21
which is same as given
so a is correct - 9 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
