if a person has to work 8 consecutive days and he gets rest on 9th day...if the person starts on monday then what is the 12th rest day ?

• Answer : Wednesday.
  There are more ways of doing this Problem, but I prefer to choose what method comes in my mind first. So I have this one for you. Hope it helps.
  Explanation : The person starts working on Monday. That means the 9th day i.e. the rest day will be Tuesday. Now again he goes the next day i.e. Wednesday to work, likewise the 9th day will be Thursday. You can see the 9th day is always the alternate day from it's previous one. So count the alternate REST DAYS from the first one 1st-"Tuesday"...
  2nd-Thursday,
  3rd-Saturday,
  4th-Monday,
  5th-Wednesday,
  6th-Friday,
  7th-Sunday,
  8th-Tuesday,
  9th-Thursday,
  10th-Saturday,
  11th-Monday and,
  so the 12th one is "WEDNESDAY"!

  they asked what is the 12th rest day?
  12*9=108 days... 1week=7days
  105 is the nearest multiple of 7. so remainder is 0.
  so 105 is Sunday.
  106 is Monday
  107 is Tuesday.
