so now think,
he is selling 36 oranges for $1
so for having a gain of 4% you have to sell the same36 oranges in [1-1*4/100]=$0.96
so now if we sell 36 oranges in $0.96 for having a profit of 4%,
we have to sell (36/0.96) oranges in $1 for having a profit of 4%
