if a no divided by 5,3,2 respectively gives the remainder 1,2,0. what is the no when divided by 2,3,5
Read Solution (Total 13)

- if a number when divided by 5,3,2 giving a remainder 1,2,0 respectively..
i.e. on dividing by 5, r = 1
& 3, r=2
& 2, r=0
so when we divide again by 2,3,5 give a same remainder i.e. 0,2,1 (common sense) .
no need of calculation..its just reverse..

- its not what is the no. its what is the remainder when the same no. is divided by 2,3,5 respectively.
so let the no. be x
then
x=5y+1
y=3z+2
z=2*1+0
thus x=41
now on dividing 41by 2,3,5 respectively we get 1,2,1 as remainder.... - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(18) No(4)
- when the no is devided by 5 it gives remainder 1 so the possible no can be determined by
(5*1)+1=6
(5*2)+1=11
(5*3)+1=16
(5*4)+1=21
(5*5)+1=26----so on
among them only 26 gives the remainder 2 and 0 when it is devided by 3 and 2 so the no is 26. - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(17) No(8)
- ans s 1 2 1

- we know dat dividend=divisor*quotient+remainder..
step1: dividend=5*x+1
step2:divident=5*(3*x+2)+1
step3:dividend=5*(3*(2*z+0)+2)+1 => dividend=30z+11(this is the number)
now 1st divide wid 2,(30z+11)/2 gives remainder=1(since 30z s perfectly divisible by 2) remaining part is 15z+5
now,(15z+5)/3 => remainder is 2 and remaining part is 5z+1
now, (5z+1)/5 => remainder is 1 ...
therefore remainders are 1,2,1
What I think is, question shd be like "If a number is divided by 5,3,2 one after the other, gives the remainders 1,2,0.Then what are the remainders when d same number is divided by 2,3,5 ?"

- fr dis puzzle the no is divided by successive division method by 5,3,2 and gives the reminder of 1,2,0 respectively,, the given dividers 2,3,5 also divide the no. in successive method thn we can get the answers of 1,0,4 as reminders

- 1,2,1
((0*3+2)*5)+1=11
Now,11 when successively divided by 2,3,5 gives remainder 1,2,1 - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- ans is 1 0 4

- For thia type of question we have
5 remainder 1
3 remainder 2
2 remainder 0
Now ,add 2 and 0 we get 2
Then multiply result i.e 2 with upper value i.e 3 we get 6 and add remainder i.e 2 we get 8
Similarly multiply result with i.e 8*5 we get 40 and add 1..we have 41
Now divide 41 simultaneously with the number 2,3 and 5 to get result 1,2 and 1
We can apply this for any sum similar to this. - 8 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
