A mixture of spirit and water measure 80 litres. It contains 20% water i.e 16 ltr water.

If x ltr water is added to make water 25 % in mixture, then
(16+x)/(80+x)= 25/100
64+4x= 80+x
x= 16/3 ltrs

Total solution = 80
water = 16(20% of 80) spirit = 64
ratio: w/s=(16/64)=(1/4)
Required ratio w/s=(25/75)=(1/3)
adding x litr of water per 1 litr
(1+x)/4=(1/3)
x=1/3
toatl water to be added=16*1/3=16/3 litr answer

ans is 16/3 liter as 25=x*100/(64+x) so x=1600/75...x=64/3 so added water=64/3-16
