From a circle of radius 10 cm a sector of 40% area is removed. a cone is formed with the remaining part of the circle. find the ratio of the radius and height of the cone?

- 40% of Pi*(10)^2=40*pi...now 40pi is the curved surface area of the cone..so remaining 60pi=pi*r*10..which gives r=6...and also 10^2=h^2+ r^2..putting the value of r here we get h=8...threfore r:h=6/8=3/4

it is = to base of cone i.e bottom circle.
=>2 pi r= 160pi/9
=> r=80/9
slant height of cone= 10
h=sqrt(10^2-(80/9)^2))
h=(10sqrt17)/4
r/h= (9sqrt17)/32
