no. of non-leap years from 2001 to 2071=53
total no. of odd days in leap years=17*2=34
total no. of odd days in non-leap years=53*1=53
total odd days=53+34=87
dividing 87 by 7 would leave 3 as remainder.
if remainder=0 then the day would have been sunday, monday for remainder 1 and so on. Since remainder is 3 so the day is WEDNESDAY.

as it seems it is not a leap year so their r 365 days, so 9071-2001=7070 yrs r left and 368650 days r their in 7070 yrs.
when 368650 is divided by 7 we get 0,that means sunday.
