Let total votes be x
So, Votes of Congress(C) = (60/100)x
and, Votes of Bjp(B) = (40/100)x

As, given A got 75% of (C) votes and 8% of (B) votes...
So, Number of votes of A = (75/100)*(60/100)x + (8/100)*(40/100)x
= (0.482)x
Now, Percentage of votes = [(0.482x)/x]*100
= 48.2%
