a farmer has a rose garden. everyday he either plucks 7 or 6 or 24 or 23 roses. now, when farmer plucks these no. of roses , the next day 37 or 36 or 9 or 18 new roses bloom. on monday he counts 189 roses.he plucks the roses as per his plan for consecutive days and new roses bloom next day as said earlier. after some of the days which of the following can be the no. of roses in the garden? plz xplain it with clearly. its difficult to understand this ques.

  let for 'x' days roses are plucked then x-1 days roses are bloomed.
  finally roses left are 189-24(x)+9(x-1)=180-15x = 30(for x=10)

• sorry initial answer was not correct.
  only two of the options taken 24-9 23-9 because in answ9ers flowers are less.
  if 23 taken 189-23=166 if add 18 then 184 then 184-23 then add 18=174 if we obserb unit place when pluck 23 and add always it was 4... so finally we have 4 flowers

• Little bit tricky,
  CASE I
  If he plucks 24 flowers and 9 comes:- In this case flowers decreases day by day as 1st day there is a loss of 15 flowers and then next day again there is a loss of 15 flowers and it is go on until we reach flower
  
  CASE II
  If he plucks 23 flowers and 18 comes:- In this case also flowers decreases day by day and never reach upto 189.
  
  CASE III
  If he plucks 7 flower and 37 comes:- Now, there is a gain in flowers each day
  CASE IV
  Here also there is a gain in each day
  
  So as per option if there is 189 flowers on Monday and there maybe either 4 or 37 or 7 or 30 flowes left then definitely there is a loss in flower in each day and therefore, ans was demonstrated by either CASE 1 or CASE 2
  
  Solving CASE 1,
  There is a loss of 15 flowers each day.
  After 12 days he lose 180 flowers and only 9 left.
  
  Solving CASE 2, there is a loss of 5 flowers each day.
  After 37 day, he lose 185 flowers and only 4 left
