Exam
Consider the sequence -6,-12,18,24,-30,-36,42,...,if the sum of first n terms of the sequence is 132,then what is the value of n ?
Read Solution (Total 8)
-
- n=22
just consider it as AP where first term is 6 and last term is 132 and d=6. - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(3)
- In this sequence every set of 7 numbers will result in zero and (7x+1) th term will give sum of whole series till that number.
so 22nd number is 132.
n=22 - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(2) No(2)
- it is not posiible to get sum 132 because for every 7 numbers result is 0 and the sequence will be after 7 numbers 21st number is -126 next number is -132 and 23 rd numbe is 138 and 20th number is 120 so up to then sum will be 0 and 24th nuber is 144 which is the total sum of the series so we will not get sum 132

- not possible......132 will not come in dis sequence

- 48;
itz multiples of 6;

- n=22
just consider it as AP where first term is 6 and last term is 132 and d=6. - 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- Here two time - sign and two time + sign and add 6 for get next term.
so the ans:-48.
- 12 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
- the sum of 1st 4 term is 24
the sum of 2nd 4 term in 24 and so on ...
so
the sum of first 5 group of 4 term =120
after that next group will exceed to 144
so its not possible - 11 years agoHelpfull: Yes(0) No(0)
